Middle School STEM

Discover hands-on learning. Inspire creativity and imagination. Experience the many different ways that science can be implemented in our day-to-day lives.

Daily projects and explorations in the topics of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) will provide the inspiration for this two-week full-day session. Our campers will work towards completing a final challenge by the end of the session that uses all they have learned over the course of the summer.

Students enjoy the finest STEM equipment in our state-of-the-art STEM lab on the Upper School campus.

Our Instructor

Lisa Iskra

Mrs. Iskra graduated from Wilkes University with a degree in education, specializing in biology. She has over 20 years of teaching experience working with students of various grade levels. She has been teaching eighth-grade science, as well as a science research class at Wyoming Seminary for over ten years. During that time period, her science research group has been the recipient of many awards.

She challenges her students with an innovative and engaging science curriculum, including topics in physical science, chemistry and forensic science, accompanied with hands-on laboratory activities.

Join us this summer to learn more about the exciting field of forensic science and become a member of the Wyoming Seminary Middle School STEM team.

My son really enjoyed camp this year! He really liked the interactive nature of this year's projects like the roller coaster creation and egg drop activity.
