Join us this summer on our Upper School Campus to experience our new camps designed to engage and challenge students during their summer break! Camps this year include Chemistry, Climate and Sustainability Summit, Mock Trial, and Podcasting. We are also excited to offer several Middle School level coding and gaming camps during the month of July.
MS Mock Trial
JUNE 26 – JUNE 30, 2023
AGES 10- 14 / Full Day Camp 9am to 4pm
UPPER SCHOOL CAMPUS
ONE-WEEK PROGRAM $500
Students interested in learning more about the legal system and legal professions or looking to further develop skills in analytical thinking, writing, and public speaking, will enjoy this all-day, week-long introduction to mock trial. Campers will learn mock trial fundamentals and hear from speakers in a variety of careers in the legal profession. At the close of the week, all campers will participate in a full mock trial for parents and guests. The camp staff includes members of Wyoming Seminary Upper School’s district champion mock trial team and coach Peter Froehlich.

Are you interested in storytelling, acting, or journalism? Do you have ideas and opinions to share? Do you want to explore 21st-century technologies for digital recording and publishing? Wyoming Seminary’s new podcasting camp is the perfect opportunity! At this in-person camp, you will explore the world of podcasting by identifying models of the kind of podcast you want to create and then gain hands-on experience with scripting, recording, mixing, and publishing your own original podcast. The camp may include field trips to a local radio station and visits with experienced podcasters.

ONE-WEEK PROGRAM $500
Whether you’re a more serious science student or just someone who enjoys exploring and learning about the world around you, this camp is for you! It will feature demonstrations and hands-on experiments designed to teach introductory chemical concepts using fun and entertaining methods. The camp will promote the science of chemistry, the benefits of chemicals, and the importance of chemical safety awareness. Campers will learn the basics of experimentation using the scientific method and conduct experiments involving density, surface tension, viscosity, chemical reactions, mixing of solutions, and acids. There will also be experiments creating edible snacks using scientific principles!
ROBLOX® Makers

Unlock the power of ROBLOX® Studio, the world creation tool used by real-world ROBLOX® developers! Learn how to build 3D models and create an adventure in your ROBLOX® world. Bring characters to life with unique animations you design. Student-created projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family.
Make Your First Video Game!
June 26-30, 2023 Upper School Campus

Tuition $250 per half-day session
If you love playing video games, this is the camp for you! Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that shows you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Conceptualization, play experience, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts that we’ll explore. No prior experience is necessary, just a desire to have fun. Student projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Games are only compatible on PC computers. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years.
3D Game Design with Unity

Are you ready to take your game design skills to another level? With Unity, an industry-grade design software, aspiring game designers will learn level editing, 3D modeling, impactful gameplay creation, as well as how to utilize scripts and variables. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years.
YouTube® Content Creators

Find your voice and leave your mark on the world! Whether you are six or sixteen, it’s time to start a career as the next YouTube star. Explore the variety of content and personalities that exist on YouTube and how to find your own niche. Learn the Dos and Don’ts of the platform and how to practice good digital citizenship. Develop your on-camera presence, your own channel branding, and professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own channel with the content created in class! Student projects will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family.
Python Programmers

Each lesson takes you step-by-step on a programming path that will let you challenge friends with fun content you create from start.
Beats and Jams: Digital Music Creators
July 17-21, 2023 Upper School Campus
9:00am-12:00pm – Grades 5-8
Tuition $250 per half-day session
Begin your rise to the top of the charts with digital music production! Just like today’s top artists, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer. In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Student-created soundtracks will be available on a password protected website to share with friends and family.
My son really enjoyed camp this year! He really liked the interactive nature of this year's projects like the roller coaster creation and egg drop activity.
